Atiku: ‘Boko Haram would not be in existence if I was president

Previous Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has said that the Boko Haram uprising would have been appropriately taken care of if he had been the president at the time it broke out. 
Atiku made the remark on Tuesday, November 15, while talking at the American University of Nigeria (AUN) in Yola, Adamawa state. 

"On the off chance that I were the President of Nigeria when Boko Haram ejected, I could have utilized all methods available to me to deflect it," he said 

"When we were in government in 2002, a comparable occurrence which ought to have been all the more destructive emitted in Yobe state and we quickly contained it and nothing was known about it once more. 

"Such a monstrous episode requires an unflinching initiative that is unequivocal in its deeds in managing it. In the mean time Atiku has been blamed for debasement by Kaduna State senator, Nasir el-Rufai. 

El-Rufai likewise said that Atiku has begun battling for the 2019 presidential races.
